Should I Open My Windows Today?

Get science-based answers for better indoor air quality.

THE SCIENCE

🌫️

Air Quality Index (AQI)

We use real-time AQI data (1-5 scale). Levels 4-5 contain harmful particles (PM2.5, PM10, ozone) that affect respiratory health.

Good (1-2): Safe to open
Moderate (3): Sensitive groups caution
Poor (4-5): Keep windows closed

💧

Humidity Control

Humidity above 70% promotes mold growth. Below 30% causes dryness. We recommend ventilation only when humidity ≤ 70%.

30-60%: Ideal indoor range
Above 70%: Avoid ventilation
Below 30%: Use humidifier

Decision Algorithm

YES
only if
AQI ≤ 3 & Humidity ≤ 70%

Otherwise, keep windows closed to maintain healthy indoor air quality.
